No — the Dual-Screen 3 does not need the Tri-Screen 3 Mac Adapter. This is true no matter what your USB-C port supports, and applies to both Mac and Windows users.

What you might need instead: If your USB-C port is power-only — it says USB-C only, USB 3.2, or Gen 1, with no mention of DisplayPort or Thunderbolt — you'll need a mini HDMI to HDMI cable for video. Just reach out to us to request one.

No cable needed if your port says: DisplayPort, DP Alt Mode, Thunderbolt 3, or Thunderbolt 4.
