How to Connect Your Xebec Adapter to Your Laptop

The Xebec Adapter allows for easy setup and compatibility with a range of laptops. Follow these steps to ensure a successful connection to your Tri-Screen 2:

Step 1: Connect the Xebec Adapter to Your Laptop

  1. Determine what port you will be using for the Adapter:

    • The Xebec Adapter can connect to either a USB-C or USB-A port.

      • Note: If both of these ports are available on your laptop, use the USB-A port and save the USB-C port for your other Tri-Screen 2 cable connection.
  2. Plug in the Xebec Adapter:

    • If connecting to a USB-C port, connect the provided USB-A to USB-C adapter to the Tri-Screen 2 Adapter and connect to your laptop.

    • If connecting to a USB-A port, connect the Adapter to the USB-A port on your laptop.

Step 2: Connect the Xebec Adapter to the Tri-Screen 2

  1. Locate the two cables on the other end of the Xebec Adapter:

    • One USB-C cable

    • One mini-HDMI cable

  2. Connect both cables to the same side of the Tri-Screen 2:

    • Insert the USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the Tri-Screen 2.

    • Insert the mini-HDMI cable into the mini-HDMI port on the Tri-Screen 2.

  1. Download the free DisplayLink driver for your operating system.

    1. Here for PC/Windows

    2. Here for Mac

  2. Install the driver by following the on-screen instructions.

  3. Once installed, restart your laptop to ensure the driver is properly activated.

Step 4: Check the Connection

  1. After restarting, your laptop should automatically detect the Tri-Screen 2.

  2. If the display does not appear immediately, please ensure the driver is up and running.

Step 5: Enjoy Your Tri-Screen 2!

Once the setup is complete, you should be able to use the Tri-Screen 2 seamlessly with your laptop for multitasking and productivity.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Ensure both the USB-C and mini-HDMI cables are securely connected to the Tri-Screen 2.

  • Confirm that the DisplayLink driver is installed and running.

  • If the screens aren't connecting correctly, try unplugging and reattaching the adapter or restarting your laptop.
