Yes! The Tri-Screen 3 Adapter is designed to be a simple, setup-and-forget solution, making it easy to switch between different laptops.

Here’s how it works:

  • You can leave the Tri-Screen 3 Adapter in place when you switch to a laptop that doesn't need it. Simply download the free DisplayLink Driver.
  • The adapter is not required for any PC, Chromebook, or Linux laptop that already has a USB-C port with DisplayPort or Thunderbolt (version 3 or later).
  • The adapter can also be used with a laptop’s USB-A port when paired with a USB-A to USB-C adapter (sold separately).

Important Note on Power:

When using the adapter with non-Mac laptops, you will likely need to plug in pass-through charging to provide enough power for both screens.
